Important Changes to WinCagi Support for School Year 2013-14 WinCagi Announcement After spending the last 18+ months working on the new design for the WinCagi software system we have encountered several issues that have caused us to re-think the possibility of continuing our efforts. One of the most frequently requested enhancements schools have asked for has been the ability make the system available on the Internet for parental access and online account payment processing. After reviewing the costs related to those enhancements in particular, the end result would be a software system our current customer base could not afford to license. Adding to this is the fact we had intended to provide the new version as a web based, hosted solution with no software being installed at your school. After researching the liability of offering the software in that fashion, we have made the decision that we cannot continue to develop the system for web based, hosted solution. For these reasons, as well as others, we regret that we are forced to stop work on a new WinCagi software system design. In addition, and with sadness, we are announcing the "end of life" for the currently distributed version of the WinCagi software system and we will no longer offer enhancements or updates for the current system. What this means to your school If your school has paid for support for the 2012-13 school year, your school will continue to receive support for your currently installed version of the WinCagi software system through June 1, 2013. If your school chooses to continue to use the WinCagi software system for the 2013-14 school year, your school is free to do so and you will not be charged an annual support fee. IF your school should require support assistance after June 1, 2013, your school will be asked to pay the one-time fee of $250.00 which will cover your school for the entire year. We will continue to host our web site with downloads and "how to" documentation. Oscar Software will continue to operate, however, we will focus our efforts on our other software systems.
